日本最大の海運会社であるNYK Line（日本郵船）韓国法人の小川裕司副社長（53）。
05年ソウルに赴任した彼は、約5年前からカメラにはまっているプロ級写真家である。
同氏は韓国関連フォトエッセイ「なんせんちょうむ」シリーズの第3冊目を出版し、今月の10日から
日本国際交流基金ソウル文化センターのイヨンホール（397-2844）で写真展を開いている。
展示は今月末まで続く。
「なんせんちょうむ」は日本語の原文に韓国語と英語訳を加えたオールカラー写真エッセイ集だ。
雪岳山や京東市場、韓屋、イェンナルトシラクや四柱カフェ、お正月の遊びなど韓国のあちこちを
撮った。
彼はさらに済州島にある旧日本軍の格納庫や西生浦倭城といった日韓間の屈折した歴史現場も
捉えた。
早稲田大学政治学科を卒業してからNYK Lineに入社した同氏は「2000年代初豪州シドニー駐在
時代から写真に魅せられ、最初は「花」を主に撮っていたが、ソウルに来てからは韓国的なことに
関心を持つようになった」とし「昨年からはスライドショー形式で音楽と静止画面を組み合わせた
作品に挑戦している」という。
彼はすでに写真集を5冊以上出版しており、数回の展示会を開催した。最近は韓国をより深く理解
するため韓国語も学んでいる。

Mr. Yuji Ogawa (53) is vice president of NYK Line, Korea. NYK Line is the largest shipping firm
in Japan. He was transferred to Seoul in 2005. He is not only a business person, but also a semi-professional photographer who got into photos about five years ago.
Mr. Ogawa has just published the third book of “Nan Seng Cheo Um” series. His photo exhibition
has been held at E-Yeon Hall, Seoul Culture Center of Japan Foundation (397-2844) since 10th
of this month. The exhibition lasts until the end of October.
“Nan Seng Cheo Um” is an all-color photo essay book featuring Mr. Ogawa’s photos and essays
in Japanese, Korean and English. He took photos of Seorak Mountain, Kyungdong market, Hanok
(traditional Korean house), old-time lunch box, Saju café, New Year’s games in Korea, and many
more. He also visited historical sites and took photos of them such as Imperial Japanese Army’s
silo in Jeju Island and Seosengpo Wuesung in Ulsan, which show us Korean-Japan historical
conflicts.
Mr. Ogawa started working for NYK Line right after graduating Political Science Department of
Waseda University. He said, “I was enchanted by photos when I was in Sydney in early 2000. My
object of shooting was first flowers, but since I came to Seoul, I became to be interested in
something Korean. Since last year, I also started doing a slide show combining music and photos.”
He has already published more than five photo books and has held several exhibitions. In order to

2005년 서울에 온 그는 5년 전부터 카메라에 푹 빠져 지내는 프로급 사진 작가다.
그가 한국 관련 포토 에세이 '난생 처음' 시리즈 제3집을 펴내고 지난 10일부터
일본국제교류기금 서울문화센터 이연홀(397-2844)에서 사진전을 열고 있다. 전시는
이달 30일까지 계속된다.
'난생 처음'은 일본어 원문에 한국어와 영어 번역까지 곁들인 올 컬러 사진 에세이집.
설악산과 경동 시장,한옥과 옛날 도시락,사주 카페와 설날 민속놀이 등 한국의
구석구석을 담고 있다.
그는 제주도에 있는 옛 일본군의 격납고와 서생포 왜성 등 한·일 간의 굴곡 진 역사
현장도 포착했다.
와세다대 정치학과 졸업 후 곧바로 엔와이케이 라인에 입사한 그는 "2000년대 초
호주 시드니 주재 시절부터 사진에 매료됐는데 초창기엔 '꽃'을 전문적으로 찍었으나
서울로 옮긴 뒤에는 한국적인 것들에 관심을 갖게 됐다"며 "올해부터 책과 슬라이드 쇼
형식으로 음악과 정지 화면들을 조합한 형식의 작품에 도전하고 있다"고 말했다.
그는 이미 사진집을 다섯 권이나 냈고 전시회도 여덟 차례나 가졌다. 최근에는 한국을
